history. The Team Lead and Senior Developer - SAP PO/EDI will be an
individual contributor charged with the development and support of
our ongoing SAP PO/EDI initiatives and solutions. Leads daily
support and ongoing improvement of our existing PO/EDI solutions,
and leads new development of services and offerings in this area.
Responsible for the development, enhancements, troubleshooting,
fixes, and ongoing maintenance of all EDI and B2B integrations to
the SAP applications which support the Network Services business
areas. Position includes ongoing project-based development work, as
well as day to day support of existing applications. Serve as a
technical expert resource for IT Staff in all EDI and general SAP
technical areas. SAP applications in the environment include core
SAP ERP (ECC 6.0 EHP7/HANA) with modules FI, CO, SD, MM, AB and BW
(HANA), SAP BOBJ/BI, SAP PO, Portal, MDM, Vistex, Gateway, Fiori,
Solution Manager and also Tableau (Dashboards). WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Plan, prioritize, and execute SAP PO and EDI Development across the
team. Take the lead in managing SAP PO and EDI related projects.
Lead initial discussion, requirements definition, design processes,
as well as actual development of the solution. Lead EDI and other
B2B implementation projects with new customers and suppliers.
Maintain Help Desk tickets with ETCs and be prepared to review and
discuss the current status of all open tickets with business teams
on regular basis. Responsible for development and ongoing
maintenance/enhancements of all EDI business processes and systems.
Ability to analyze business requirements, review existing systems,
define the solution, and translate that into detailed programming
designs. Ability to determine the underlying issue when presented
with sometimes confusing and/or contradictory information;
demonstrate good listening skills. Ability to quickly
solve/determine problems working with technical/non-technical
groups in areas that may not be primary area of expertise and
effectively communicate with internal and external customers
possessing various levels of technical knowledge Stay current in
the new SAP versions and direction for SAP PO, EDI, and with new
features and tools to identify opportunities in this area; develop
and maintain a roadmap for future directions. Support IT Help Desk
and business users with any SAP related issues. Serve as a liaison
to AMS Service and SAP Support for any SAP related tickets.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Extensive experience designing and developing SAP, non-SAP, EDI and
non-EDI interfaces using SAP PO (formerly PI). Extensive experience
of common EDI transactions (850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 940, 945, 867,
832 etc.). Expert development of end-to-end PO integrations using
Integration Builder Design and Configuration for Integration
Scenarios. Development of Message types, Message interfaces,
Message mapping and Interface mappings in Integration Builder.
Creation of configuration objects such as the Configuration
scenario, Party, Receiver determination, Interface determination,
Sender agreements and Receiver agreements for the various
scenarios. Expert development and support of SAP B2B Add-on EDI
mappings and translation applications integrated with SAP PO.
Expert configuration of SAP B2B adapters including FTP,SFTP, HTTP,
REST, VANs and AS2. Experience in developing user defined functions
using Java. Experience in configuration of the PO Landscape in SLD,
Configuration of the Software Catalog and the Exchange profiles.
Experience in ABAP development, with both custom development and
customizations to existing processes including use of IDOCs, ALE,
RFC, BAPI, BADI, ALV, ABAP Workbench and Data Dictionary.
Experience in full development life cycle - all areas and phases of
the SDLC. Database experience - SQL Server 2016 and beyond.
Experience monitoring, editing and re-processing Idocs in ECC.
Ability to analyze and process data in ECC to support EDI
Integrations. SAP APPLICATION/FUNCTIONAL AREAS: Good understanding
of business process flows in SD, MM and FI areas, including master
data setup, and standard SAP order to cash processes in a
distribution environment. PROFESSIONAL SKILLS: Must have "can do"
attitude and be able to work independently. Excellent written and
verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and
detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Must have proven ability to support multiple projects on an
aggressive timeline. Knowledge of distribution industry processes
and the ability to generate functional Maintain active
participation in the SAP community (e.g. ASUG, SAP Developer
Network etc.) Strong time management skills. Able to work with
staff at all levels of corporate management. Ability to multi-task
and prioritize activities on assigned tasks. Ability and
willingness to learn. Ability to manage and lead small to medium
sized projects (status meetings and minutes, develop and maintain
project plans, communicate with the business, prioritize and assign
tasks, address and resolve issues, etc.). Serve as a primary
technical point of contact to external consultants, supporting the
consultants and escalating issues as required. CERTIFICATIONS SAP
PO / PI Certifications preferred SAP ABAP Certifications preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Work History Requirements:
Minimum 8 years hands on SAP PO development work experience.
Minimum 2 years of Team Lead experience. Education Requirements:
Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
