Benefits include: * Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour * Paid Time Off * Closed on Sundays* * Discounts * Health & Retirement benefits (vary depending on location) Delivery Technician / Delivery Driver Role Summary: Delivery Technician / Delivery Driver helps maintain appearance of showroom; takes primary role in delivery and pick up of merchandise; may perform additional functions or duties as assigned by the general manager; demonstrates effective communication and reasoning skills and shows growth potential. Training will be provided, and you will be cross trained in all aspects of the role. * This is an in-person job and only available physically at the specified location. * You must be over the age of 21 to be considered for this position. Principal Responsibilities: * Acquire and Maintain Customers * Ability to demonstrate product features and explain the benefit of those features * Basic furniture, appliance, home electronics installation/removal * Complies with all company vehicle safety standards and documentation * Inside/outside service calls * Protection of company assets which includes but not limited to inventory, equipment and vehicles Requirements/Responsibilities Delivery Technician Requirements: * Must be over the age of 21 to drive a vehicle for work (insurance requirement) * Intermediate math skills * Maintain professional appearance * Must be able to drive during day, night and meet all safety requirements * Must be able to explain terms of rental/lease agreement to customer. * Must be able to fill out receipt books, make journal entries. * Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in person and over telephone. * Meet and exceed target delivery goals * Must be able to work overtime * Must be proficient in product features, benefits; must be able to work on showroom floor. * Must have proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements * Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates. Physical Requirements: * Routine lifting, loading, and moving of merchandise (50-300 pounds) using a dolly * Stooping, bending, pulling, reaching, and grabbing * Ability to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics * Prolonged periods of driving and standing * Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor climates and weather conditions Additional Information: * Buddy’s Home Furnishings is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace. * A detailed background check, including driving history and drug screening, is required.
