Job Description:
As a vital member of our delivery team at Performance
Foodservice, you will serve as a Delivery Driver operating
non-commercial vehicles to ensure safe and prompt delivery of
products to our varied customers. This includes family-owned
restaurants, as well as nationwide chains. With a commitment to
reliability and customer satisfaction, you will handle the
deliveries and the integrity of the goods transported, representing
our company's dedication to quality service across the United
States. Your role ensures that our clients receive their orders in
a timely fashion, which is crucial to their operation and success.
Ensure accurate and on-time delivery of products as per scheduled
routes. Operate a non-commercial delivery vehicle in a safe and
efficient manner. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure
that orders are complete and the customer is satisfied. Maintain
the cleanliness and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
Handle customer queries and concerns during delivery courteously
and professionally. Adhere to company operational policies and
procedures regarding transportation. Complete log and delivery
reports as required. Strong organizational and time management
skills Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to operate GPS
systems and other logistic-related technology Physical ability to
handle large and heavy items Knowledge of local and regional
geographical area Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license; Clean driving record; DOT
medical card (if applicable)
