Assembly Technician Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and
dependable cross-functional production line worker to join our
high-end pontoon boat manufacturing team. This position requires
hands-on assembly, system integration, and troubleshooting
expertise across multiple boat production areas. The ideal
candidate brings strong technical knowledge, attention to detail,
and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced,
quality-driven environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, and inspect various boat components, including
mechanical and structural systems Check boat frames to ensure they
are square Tighten and check all fasteners for appropriate torque
Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery safely and
efficiently Troubleshoot and resolve issues during assembly or
final inspection to meet quality and safety standards Move between
workstations or boat models based on production needs, providing
cross-functional support Maintain a clean and organized work area
and follow all safety protocols and company procedures Meet or
exceed daily production goals while maintaining a high level of
craftsmanship Communicate effectively with team members, leads, and
supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and problem resolution
Support other departments or projects as assigned to ensure timely
delivery of completed units Preferred Experience: Minimum of 2
years experience in a team-based, hands-on manufacturing
environment, preferably in the marine or recreational vehicle
industry Skills and Knowledge Requirements: Extensive
cross-training and hands-on experience in the manufacturing of
high-end pontoon boats, including complex assemblies and finishes
Strong understanding of boat design, construction techniques, and
marine manufacturing standards Proficiency in using hand tools,
power tools, and production equipment Ability to read and interpret
blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics Advanced assembly and
system troubleshooting skills Keen attention to detail and a strong
commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and
collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment Strong
communication skills, both written and verbal, with professionalism
at all levels Willingness to pursue continuing education, including
engine OEM certifications Physical Requirements: Ability to stand,
walk, crouch, bend, kneel, and climb in and out of boats throughout
the workday Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs consistently
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing
environment Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for 8
hours per day Work Ethic and Flexibility: Reliable attendance and
punctuality are essential Strong work ethic with a positive,
team-oriented attitude Willingness to work overtime and weekends as
needed to meet production goals Flexibility to take on additional
tasks or assignments as directed by leadership
