General Job Summary: A Commercial Loan Officer III will work within the business banking group establishing new and profitable business relationships. Business relationships must meet the strategic goals of the business banking group, as well as comply with all bank policies & procedures and state and federal banking regulations. The focus of the position is to apply proven sales skills and professional networks to expand the bank's business relationships by reaching individually established goals related to increased business balances for deposits and loans. Expectations: A Commercial Loan Officer III will demonstrate self-starting while initiating discussions with the Group Manager to assure that his/her efforts are aligned with the strategic goals of the bank. Sales efforts must demonstrate a high level of business acumen for banking, and business banking solutions, in order to assure growth goals are obtainable. Specific Job Functions: --- Market and prospect for high-quality potential commercial business relationships within the assigned market --- Make a minimum of 25 sales calls a week - including in-person calls at a client or prospects place of business --- Identify and connect with influential business professionals within the assigned market --- Participate in (and/or establish) local business events to help promote the bank within the assigned market --- Make staff introductions when appropriate to get staff involved in the growth objective within the assigned market --- Identify the largest competitor(s) within the assigned market --- Retain current knowledge of the political landscape within the assigned market --- Properly log all calls into the bank's customer relationship management (CRM) system (presently Salesforce) --- Initiate internal discussions with senior management on areas of success or improvement within the assigned market--- Bachelors degree or above --- 10-15 years commercial banking experience --- Demonstrated sales ability with proven record of meeting individual sales goals --- Strong knowledge of bank products and services --- Knowledge of state and federal banking regulations --- Strong credit skills and computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office --- Ability to work independently and as part of a group --- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) --- Must be able to create and maintain positive professional relationships with customers, management and co-workers
