Summary:

  • The IT Director - Digital Workplace will be responsible for the strategy, direction, execution and support of global user endpoint device management and configuration, Microsoft Office 365 suite management and ServiceNow development for all of Wabtec IT globally. This role defines the global footprint of the 27,000 end users experience while ensuring a secure, self-service orientated environment with automation. The IT Director - Digital Workplace will report directly to the Vice President - Technology Services. This is a team leader position with an organization of 5-10 people with opportunities for expansion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Articulates and manages the strategic direction and provides an overall vision, directional strategy and 2-to-3-year roadmaps across Digital Workplace

  • Provide a resilient end user compute environment while driving for automation, robotic process automation and artificial intelligence in our environment

  • Shares leadership directives with peers in the implementation of best practices and leverages the work of other departments to promote continuous improvement

  • Provides standardized automated approach to endpoint management

  • Operates a secure well patched environment working harmoniously with the Security Operations team

  • Develops and defines ongoing endpoint device catalog for Wabtec globally

  • Drives the change and process management disciplines including implementation of services to drive continuous improvement in Wabtec global change control process in ServiceNow

  • Roll out Global Portfolio and Project Management process and system using ServiceNow

  • Work with team to develop work plans to test / evaluate strategies and insights which could span process improvement, organizational change, and functional strategy efforts

  • Drive diversity and inclusion across the IT Tech Services team

  • Effectively build relationships and collaborate with team members across functional departments

  • Acts as a thought leader in cross business and IT impacted discussions involving new or evolving business needs for technology

  • Develop standard and ad-hoc reports and analyses to support Executive decision making

  • Lead ServiceNow as the ERP of IT. Build out Configuration Management Database functionality and trust in its data and relationships between Configuration Items and devices

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Managing staff of 5+ employees in layers of teams.

  • Monitoring and reviewing the work of staff members, including conducting annual performance reviews.

  • Ensuring staff compliance with all company policies

  • Participate in hiring and recruitment efforts, including interviews for employees.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or country equivalent in a relevant discipline

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading global development teams

  • Strong experience on ITIL framework and follow Incident, Change and Problem management practices

  • Expert Level ServiceNow experience

  • Expert Level Microsoft Tenant Administration Experience

  • Familiarity leading large scale negotiations and working with Large Software Vendors

  • Project management skills

  • Able and willing to travel, sometimes internationally, up to 10% per year

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced college degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.)

  • Deep Microsoft Experience in products and services

  • Able to exhibit a progression of increasingly complex job responsibilities during the period inclusive of senior staff management oversight for large global organizations

  • Demonstrated experience in the field of ServiceNow

  • Drive efficiency through automation, leverage self-service provisioning capability

  • Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create solutions.

  • Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedures as needed.

  • Advanced skillset in as many of the following as possible: Endpoint device management, Hardware procurement and catalog management of assets, Global print expertise, Distribution List Management, Self Service deployment, ServiceNow Development, ServiceNow PPM rollout, Microsoft SCCM deployment, JAMF deployment, managed services, Policy setting in Microsoft tools, security and patching expertise.

  • Customer focused, a team player, and able to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision

  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks

  • Strong leadership qualities with conflict management and resolution

  • Ability to drive results in a dynamic and challenging environment

  • Self-motivation and able to take responsibility

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and Influencing skills

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and good team player

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently communicating with others to exchange information

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing

  • Frequently remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods

  • Frequently repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers

  • Frequently assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned

Work Environment:

  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable environmental elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.

  • Occasional travel to manufacturing environments where exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and potentially hazardous condition. In the environments, employee must follow all applicable safety and PPE guidelines.

We are flexible on location for this role globally, except Colorado, US. Relocation Assistance will not be provided.
