Position Summary

The Account Director will lead a team of experienced Account Managers in developing deep customer relationships to drive growth and retention by collaborating with internal partners to deliver exceptional value and service. This leader will also adeptly establish executive relationships and engage strategically with our key clients. As a passionate sales executive the Account Director focuses on team development, performance growth and sales excellence to achieve business targets, maintain solid pipeline and accurately manage and forecast the business.

Role Responsibilities:

Develop the team and drive performance growth

  • Lead and motivate a team, drive performance growth
  • Foster a culture that embraces LSEG core values: connect, deliver excellence and create opportunity
  • Manage and develop the team: hiring, onboarding, sales and solution training, continuous learning
  • Drive performance: 1:1 coaching, monitor and measure performance metrics, devise individual goals
  • Develop the individuals on the team with coaching, learning goal development, leadership opportunities, mentor alignment

Run the Business

  • Attain business targets comprised of new gross sales, customer retention and overall revenue
  • Tight management of team pipeline to ensure accurate revenue forecasting
  • Drive forward planning and execution with Q+1 Quarterly Business Reviews, pipeline development 1:1s
  • Optimize territory strategy to drive productivity
  • Actively participate in the sales cycle to bring leadership and strategic support to large deals
  • Develop executive relationships across key client accounts

Grow the Business

  • Go to market planning; collaborate with internal business units and sales operations to identify areas of growth and opportunity, enable the account management sales team, monitor and measure success
  • Collaborate with business unit sales and customer success teams in a matrix environment to optimize engagement to drive gross revenue and customer retention
  • Leverage data and metrics to continuously improve operational efficiency and productivity and identify opportunities for process improvement and performance growth

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Proven ability to lead teams through change and drive performance growth
  • Ability to motivate, coach and mentor in a customer facing environment
  • Proven track record of attainment of company goals in a fast-paced environment, combined with experience leading teams, account management/sales experience
  • Adept at managing within a matrix environment, collaborating across multiple departments/organizations and influencing at all levels
  • Excellent at developing executive relationships and engaging strategically
  • High level of financial acumen
  • Hungry, driven experience sales professional at the core
