Position Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue growth and retention. By collaborating with internal partners, the Account Manager delivers exceptional service and a valuable solution. The position manages a defined book of business aligned by customer segment within a geography and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals and retention of existing business. You will also open larger solution opportunities and introduce Proposition Sales and Customer Success Managers..

Role Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer decision makers' strategies, priorities and needs
  • Maintain solid understanding of Refinitiv propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest
  • Build and embed a long-term trusted advisor relationship within accounts
  • Drive growth by expanding Refinitiv footprint within accounts
  • Expand overall customer engagement and increase net revenue within book of business
  • Oversee all commercial activities within accounts, owning the end-to-end customer relationship
  • Drive efficiency in account administration
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders and maintain networks to negotiate and close deals

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Strong understanding of customers - their business model and workflows
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can manage his/her work independently
  • Industry experience within the customer segments of Wealth and Asset Management
  • Presentation and communication skills: ability to deliver and communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills including relationship building and negotiating
  • Selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)
  • Ability to develop and execute a sales plan
  • Problem solving--ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs
  • Ability to collaborate with account team and other internal stakeholders
  • University/college degree required
  • Work experience in applicable industry and knowledge of customer workflow required
  • Proven account management experience in a customer facing environment required
  • Customer relationship management experience required throughout all levels within an organization, including C-level
