Job DescriptionCT Pack USA, a company of CT Pack Italy (), is searching for a Field Service Technician to service its packaging machines installed in the field; additionally, the FST will be called upon supporting installation of new machines and systems as needed as well as training customer personnel on the use and maintenance of the machines.CT Pack is an established, world leading design house and builder of quality high-speed packaging machines and systems for the baked goods, confectionary, ice cream and other industries. The US and the NA markets are home for several hundred installations and growing.CT Pack is searching for a dedicated and experienced professional, with the followingMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated programming and trouble-shoot abilities on Allen Bradley RS Logic 5000Demonstrated advanced mechanical and electrical skills.Ability to manage time and work independently, and in a team environment.Strong communication skills; oral and written. English language.Strong computer skills, in particular MS Office.Excellent work habits, maintaining a clean and safe work-space.Ability to effectively communicate in fluent English, with all levels of personnel, from production to engineers to management.Strong customer service focus.JOB DESCRIPTION:Responsible for installation, testing, analyzing, maintaining, repairing and training on CT Pack packaging equipment and associated products at customer sites. Provide customers with excellent technical customer service and ensure complete satisfaction. This position has a direct and significant impact on maintaining CT Pack"s customer base as well as growing new business for CT Pack in North America.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide field service repairs, training and installations as scheduled.Train customers on proper operation, maintenance and safety rules of customer equipment. Participate in internal training in order to maintain technical expertise and proficiency on applicable/new equipment and applications.Assist production with final machine testing and checkout. Coordinate development activities/ upgrades for updating & improving machine functionality.Provide support to customers, Customer Service and Sales, and support all aspects of operating controls systems, equipment and machinery. Interact with Sales Managers/Project Managers on customer equipment concerns & updates.Assist with updates and modifications to machinery control systems at customer sites and training customers on use and maintenance of equipment.Work in tight quarters; on top and underneath equipment and stand, stoop, kneel and bend continuously (approx. 66%). Lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.Travel extensively on short notice in North America as well as worldwide. Approximately 80% travel required. Close proximity (within an hour) of a major metropolitan airport is essential.Submit to safety, background, and drug/alcohol testing as required by customer(s), and if required, must be able to wear personal protective equipment.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Must possess a minimum of a 2-year Packaging Machinery degree or have 2 years of work experience with at least one Flow Wrapper, Robot, Case Packer, Cartoner, Closer or similar.Must have a minimum of 3 years in the Packaging Industry with experience installing, programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley RS Logics 5000 PLC"s. Proven ability to utilize Ladder Logic and Structured Text language. Prior work experience in installation/repair/maintenance of packaging machines with servo drives, HMI's and programmable controllers.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, while complying to company reporting rules.Working knowledge of how to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.PLC programming general knowledgeAbility to operate computer using Windows operating systems.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to work in a fast paced, team environmentAdditional requirements:Valid US passport, or ability to obtain one.Valid US driver"s licenseKnowledge of Spanish and or Italian language
