Job DetailsJob LocationItasca - Itasca, ILRemote TypeTemporary RemoteSalary Range$48,450.00 - $67,830.00 Responsible for concepting, designing, writing shot lists, shooting, producing and editing for various campaigns and initiatives of the National Safety Council. These videos will have a variety of audiences, including professionals, consumers, staff, safety advocates, educators and other target audiences. Coordinate production workflow from pre-production through post-production and distribution to ensure that quality standards are met in all deliverables. Manage an in-house studio as well as maintain all equipment. 40% Artfully Edit, include appropriate graphics, and convert to appropriate format for distributionRecords master sound tracks; mixes sound tracks, including voice, music and sound FXCreates impactful graphics to enhance videoArtfully Edits all elements to create impactful master videos.Consistently meets post production deadlines creating artful and impactful videoEnsures visual audio and graphics elements standards are maintained across the entire video production portfolio.Coordinates video production and post-production process to effectively manage project workflow, timelines, project direction and final deliverables.Coordinates with video graphics designer to ensure graphics meet the needs of the video.Responsible for proper use, storage, maintenance and upgrading of all editing equipment.Organizes video assets to be easily shared and archived. Responsible for maintaining database of source and master program files.Keeps track of all music used and record metadata for semiannual reports to music contractors35% Concept campaigns and participate in strategic and stylistic development meetings. Working with Sr. Manager, marketing and communications team and other stakeholders to strategize and plan videos for web, social and event usageHandles project management from beginning to endInterfaces internally and externally with key vendor partners20% Shoot VideosConcepts, directs, and shoots videos for a variety of audiences with minimal supervisionKnowledge of artful lighting, audio recording, casting, etc. in order to capture and tell a compelling story.Plan, facilitates, and operates studio or field-based video production equipment.Coaches on-screen talent and voice talentEffectively interprets needs and develops creative/technical solutionsCapable of balancing a projects creative requirements with schedule, budget, and resource limitations. Knowledgeable with zoom recordingSuggest technical upgrades where necessaryLogs talent hired and any expiration dates of use5% Other Job duties:Follows safety policies and practices specific to job/position and level. Ensures shoot locations are safety compliant. Works according to NSC culture principles.At least aBachelors degree in video/media or broadcast production. Minimum 5 years ofvideo production and post-production experience required.Must demonstrate and possess understanding of storytelling, design and editorial processes, as well as the ability to integrate them all with high production value.Demonstrated ability to work in all video formats and delivery system.Must be an experienced camera operator, understand lighting, know how to edit with Premiere CC suite or similar system.Must have graphic experience including Adobe suite of productsDemonstrated ability to produce and edit short form, advertising and documentary style videosExcellent organizational and self-management skillsAbility to think on feet, multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure.Demonstrated ability to lead production teamsStrong network of production resources
