We're looking for an eager and hardworking Business Development Representative to join our team and be instrumental in sourcing and coordinating business relationships with prospective merchants. You will work closely with the rest of the sales team to identify, track, and accomplish team goals.Building merchant relationships is very important to the success of PerkSpot. As a Business Development Representative, you will assist the sales team with sourcing merchant partners, strategizing ongoing and new perks, conducting market research, and several other tasks. In collaboration with other team members, you'll work to monitor existing partnerships, while sourcing new deals and discounts to drive success on the platform. Every day you will work with individuals on your team to maintain a healthy pipeline, while interfacing externally with marketing experts and affiliate network partners.Life as a Business Development Representative:Developing a familiarity with every partner's industry, as well as the advertising and affiliate industries as a wholeSourcing leads and conducting outreach for the most popular consumer product and services, as well as gift card and theme park partnersWorking with the Merchant Partnerships team to strategize on specific accounts and maintain a healthy partner pipelineAssisting Account Managers and Account Executives with active and prospective client relationship managementHelping the team meet or exceed monthly goals and sales benchmarksMaintaining a pulse on current industry developments and how these developments affect PerkSpotAttending regular team and staff meetings to go over company goals, success benchmarks, and sales strategiesConstantly think of ways to make the PerkSpot experience better and more effective for its customersWhat we're looking for:Background in sales, business development, advertising, and/or affiliate marketing strongly preferredBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExperience with MS Office, Salesforce, and/or Zoom a plus!Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to meet strict deadlinesTalent for collaboration and organization, with great attention to detailPositive attitude and a thoughtful approach to relationship buildingDesire to learn and grow within a fast-paced, constantly changing work environmentEnthusiasm for the role and PerkSpot as a whole; proven understanding of PerkSpot's values and a willingness to work hard to achieve company goalsYour First Few MonthsStarting on your first day, you'll learn the ins and outs of how PerkSpot runs and how we do things. After that, you'll dig deep into both the advertising and affiliate industries - your ability to speak to their terminology and understand how they run will be an important factor in partners deciding to work with us. Once you're up to speed on the business side of things, you'll begin project-specific outreach to help us with a few time-sensitive industry launches, and then start setting and achieving short- and long-term goals with a specific Account Executive.
