***Bilingual (English/Spanish) Local - Candidate! Chicago based-Remote; a Car is required for off site visits to ensure participant job success.***
Easterseals, America's largest nonprofit health care organization is seeking to fill (2) exciting Entry-level Workforce Solutions Specialists for our Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) to assist participants in conjunction with partnering agencies adhering to Easterseals and the Department of Labor guidelines helping the disabled population connect to employment opportunities!

Market, recruit and promote to potential employers the benefits and employment supportive services provided by Easterseals including addressing employee's special needs.

Utilize social media, websites, employment agencies, and research to identify potential participants.
Comfortable with maintaining a minimum of 25 business contacts, job placements and training agencies.
Maintain and publish a job resource bank; ensure employment referrals based on participant qualifications.
Oversee intensive marketing and job development activities to secure placements, including informational interviews, cold calling, letters, presentations, business networking, etc.
Facilitate individual placements, following up on job leads, developing job search plans and accompanying participants to interviews when necessary.
Provide thorough follow up contacting employers upon placement to ensure job satisfaction.
Troubleshoot employment barriers for participants including legal background issues to employment.
Attend Job Fairs and employment networking coalitions (e.g., WIOA, Chicago Jobs Council).
Regularly meet with clients to discuss progress and challenges to achieve employment goals.
Ensure case notes and data on all employers and participants after placement for retention purposes.
Maintain client files consisting of appropriate training and employment documentation.
Other duties may be assigned to ensure smooth operations.

Case Management & Recruiting
Recruit, access and inform program participants of all Easterseals and community-based services available; maintain and update knowledge of community providers and services offered; identify individual barriers to employment, and make appropriate referrals; conduct, and or oversee a formal orientation for new participants as needed, and Host Agency training sites; match participants to Host Agency training sites based upon participant needs, interests, and abilities; conduct eligibility interviews for SCSEP program applicants and determine eligibility using Department of Labor guidelines.
Career Development
Market, recruit and promote to potential employers the benefits and employment supportive services provided by Easterseals SCSEP including addressing employees' special needs; identify employment barriers; meet regularly with clients to discuss progress and challenges toward achieving employment goals; work in conjunction with members of the employment staff to assess program participants education level, employment skills and employment interests as part of entry into employment readiness services; using social media, websites, employment agencies, and research to identify potential participants; maintain client files with appropriate training and employment documentation.
Community Collaboration Initiatives
Keep abreast of community, agency, and program information through inter-office communications; attend staff meetings and monthly Workforce Development conference calls; assist with quarterly participant meetings and annual Host Agency meetings; participate in professional development activities; market Easterseals and SCSEP to the community through public speaking engagements and community networking events.Qualifications
Required Education, Experience and Skills
BA or BS in Social Service, Human Services or a related field of study.
1 to 2 years' experience in a similar role or conducting vocational assessments or employment services.
Proficient MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; willingness to learn other software applications and

Ability to work collaboratively as a motivated team-player with all levels of the organization and participants.
Display a high level of professionalism, customer service, impeccable integrity and confidentiality.
Exhibit excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and communication skills.
Manage multiple projects and assignments quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines.
Organized, detailed-oriented, and accuracy driven.
Willingness to learn and grow professionally in this critical role as duties increase.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking required.
