Vendor Development Lead

Job Description:

Develop and maintain business relationships with vendor partners
Conduct business reviews and have ongoing contact with suppliers. Review where business is up and where business is down (suppliers to provide data)
Find growth opportunities. Specific products or product lines, including new products or existing products that may or may not be validated.
Promote strategic supplier products with available co-op marketing funds, MARCOM activities, and sales engagement activities. Develop promotional campaigns including PPC, Google shopping ads, events, or field sales meetings. Provide input to drive customer awareness of products via email campaigns, general content, and SEO input.
Conduct webinars to educate sales teams on categories and new products
Provide data/input into a tracking tool that measures profit dollars and adjusts strategy as needed. Review output every quarter to determine if any promotion activities need to be adjusted
Support ongoing corporate initiatives including supplier scorecards and new vertical markets
Drive ongoing e-commerce activities that also support sales, such as Safety nets, adjusting retail pricing, providing input on PPC activities, and supporting marketplace sales including Amazon, Zoro, etc.
Process and/or coordinate validations and track ongoing activities through the e-commerce ticket system
Act as delegate and point of contact for buying group and coordinate invoices and campaigns
Conduct reporting on quarterly buying group and non-buying group business, including an annual breakdown of sales by category and any additional information needed by buying group. Log/track co-op and potential conversion opportunities into ADHQ. Attend the annual AD supplier conference.
Advocate for strategic supplier success and provide sales contacts as needed or other internal contacts. Coordinate webinars and training. Provide feedback on new and existing opportunities to grow wallet share.
Support supply chain as needed to ensure profitable growth, right-sized inventory, and general process alignment
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field required.
At least three years of experience with a proven and verifiable record of accomplishments required
Leadership or people manager experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills
Strong presentation skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Ability to conduct and correctly interpret market research.
Vendor Development Lead to build and maintain supplier relationships and develop Magid's vendor product marketing campaigns and co-op programs. Reviews and evaluates customer demand and sales trends to determine new product opportunities. Recommends additional service offerings and usability enhancements. Works with vendors to suggest and review potential partnerships. Coordinates with Supply Chain to validate and create stocking plans. Directs channel/website managers to add products to Magid's website and marketplace sites.
