Job Description:
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for Maintaining Automated
Manufacturing Equipment in a Full Capacity State and Minimizing
Equipment Downtime within the Grinding, Catheter, or Molding
Departments. The candidate will operate Automated Manufacturing
Equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),
Machine Setup (MS), Manufacturing Procedure (MP) instructions,
workorders, product specifications, engineering drawings, and
special instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards
such as ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820. In addition, the candidate
will perform general maintenance, troubleshooting and maintain
equipment supplies and spare parts within a Kanban system.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains Automated Manufacturing Equipment in a Full Capacity
State such as UR5 and UR5e Robots and Minimizes Equipment
Downtime
Reads and interprets blueprints, procedures, control settings and
machining methods and sequences.
Verifies that sample units within a lot meet acceptable quality
standards.
Set-ups up Automated Equipment and monitors display and machine
operation to detect malfunctions.
Performs in-process inspection to measure units for conformance to
blueprint specifications.
Maintains job order packets according to Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Inspects part number geometry and performs adjustments to correct
malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions along with performing
basic automation troubleshooting.
Participates in the creation of troubleshooting guide, spare parts
list, manufacturing procedures, and preventive maintenance
program.
Provides Feedback to Departmental Leads and Supervisors on
Maintaining Equipment Efficiencies and Functional Status
Supports 5S, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects
within the department and facility to support quality objectives,
along with customer and business needs.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
ABB, UR5, Fanuc, Epson or Equivalent Robotics Training and
Certification Preferred
Experience With Automation Equipment Preferred
Experience using Micrometers, Calipers, and Optical Comparators, or
other measurement equipment.
Must be organized, have initiative, and ability to work well and
cooperate with all levels of the department.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in Medical Device industry or ISO regulatory
environment preferred.
Lift requirements: 10 lb.
