Summary Job Description Position Summary The Head of Americas
Communications/Sr. Director will lead internal (including
executive) and external communications across the Americas region.
This role will pair hands-on work with strategic oversight, partner
with functional leaders to support Americas strategic marketing
plans, engage employees and position Cushman & Wakefield's global
brand with key stakeholders - employees, clients, media and
shareholders. This leader has strong executive presence and
influencing skills and enjoys mentoring and growing talent. This is
an opportunity to shape the future of Cushman & Wakefield's PR
positioning and develop a strategy that is closely linked to and
supports the overall priorities of the firm and its leadership.
This role will oversee a 12-person communication team and report to
the VP Communications & Brand. Responsibilities Responsible for
leading the Americas PR deliverables as well as the Americas
internal communications deliverables with effective measurement.
Provide strategic communications counsel and support to regional
executives. Develop and execute PR strategy that is closely linked
to, and clearly supports, the overall objectives of the firm and
its leadership. Manage the development and implementation of
internal communications strategies to ensure employees are informed
and engaged. Continue enhancing processes and sharing best
practices for both internal and external communications. Strong
stakeholder management with the ability to prioritize multiple
deadlines/key deliverables. Proven track record executing a PR
strategy. Ability to lead and collaborate up, down and across the
organization. Expert writer, problem-solver and innovative thinker.
Responsible for managing three direct reports and an overall team
of 12 people. Inclusive leader with the ability to coach, develop
team members & retain high-performers. Experienced communications
leader who wants to be at the center of what's next in commercial
real estate. Requirements Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism,
Communications or Public Relations required. Master's degree
preferred. 10+ years' experience in communications. Success in
leading and developing high performing teams Experience with media
monitoring platforms (i.e. Cision, Meltwater, etc.) Demonstrated
relationship management skills, including ability to drive healthy
discussions around complex issues, with strong active listening
skills. Creative thinking and the ability to articulate a vision to
teams across the organization Excellent verbal and written
communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention
to detail. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Cushman &
