Alden Management Services - TITLE: Restorative Coordinator
REPORTS TO: VP Nursing Operations
I. JOB SUMMARY
The Restorative Coordinator is responsible for guiding the companys
Restorative Nursing Programs, which is designed to enable residents
to maintain or improve his or her ability to adapt and adjust to
living as independently and safely as possible. The Restorative
Coordinator works in collaboration with the VP of Nursing
Operations along with other key AMS team members to develop the
facility restorative nurses, to assess the effectiveness of the
restorative program overall, to coordinate education and training
for all facilities related to restorative services, to monitor
implementation of policies and procedures, and to evaluate the
overall program and make changes accordingly as needed based on
industry and regulatory changes . The position requires knowledge
of the purpose of Restorative Nursing Programming and the ability
to develop and implement the program to meet resident needs. The
Restorative Coord inator is accountable for maintaining compliance
with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and
regulations, facility policies, and as directed by Alden Management
A. Must possess, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited
college or university.
B. Must have and maintain a current, unencumbered, active license
C. Must complete an accredited Restorative Nursing training and
D. Must be knowledgeable of with laws, regulations and guidelines
pertaining to Long Term care.
E. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when
circumstances warrant such action.

II. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
B. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the
C. Must possess sight/ hearing senses or use prosthetics that will
enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements
of this position can be fully met.
D. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional
E. Must be able to relate well and work with the ill, disabled,
elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the
F. Must be able to comply with facility Covid19 testing
G. Prolonged standing/walking/bending is required.
H. May be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment,
supplies, etc., throughout the day.
I. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases,
conditions, etc., including exposure to the (HIV) AIDS, Hepatitis B
viruses and COVID-19.
III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A. Educate and onboard all new restorative nurses at facilities on
policies and procedures, assessments, documentation, running EMR
reports, care planning and MDS documentation etc.
B. Monitor facility POC compliance related to ADL Coding and
Re-educate staff as needed on accurate documentation of ADLs.
C. Observation and evaluation of Restorative nursing programs
occurring in the facilities.
D. Assist with doing competencies as needed with staff at
E. Assist in rolling out resident transfer evaluation at
F. Monitoring documentation on Restorative programs for
G. Monitor the sling inspection and tracking.
H. Monitor that splint and braces are applied correctly and
education is provided as needed.
I. Ensure the facility conducts surveillance of healthcare-acquired
and community-acquired infections for residents, staff, volunteers,
J. Follow current established standards of nursing practices and
assist facilities with implementation of practices.
K. Accept and support the Alden Mission, Our Promise, Customer

L. Accepts and supports the Clinical Leadership &
M. Ensure that Restorative Programs are followed in accordance with
established company policies and procedures.
N. Identify problems, develop and implement solutions with the
assistance of key AMS team members.
O. Performs other duties as assigned.
