Reinsurance Recovery Associate III is responsible for the day to
day activities of recovering outstanding reinsurance recoverables
of assigned claims of basic complexity. This entails but is not
limited to accurately and timely submit request for reimbursement,
responding to request for information (RFI) and maintaining
appropriate documentation to assist in collection efforts of
assigned claims. Ability to communicate effectively to reinsurer,
co-workers and immediate manager is expected. Assignments are basic
complexity, perform under general supervision, following a standard
prescribed process. This position is a permanent remote home-based
worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate
office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position
is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the
costs of internet and phone expenses.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares Request for Reimbursements (RFR) for claims of basic
complexity following a standard prescribed process
- Review RFR for adherence to the reinsurer Claim Guide for
Reimbursement prior to submission for approval.
- Performs routine balancing of claim and reinsurance systems
(Next GEN/ACA/SAP) of basic complexity claims
- Including, identify, document and resolve any routine
reconciling variances
- Work under the direction of Management in resolving any
non-routine reconciling variances
- Responds timely to all Request for Information (RFI) from
reinsurer on assigned claims
- Setup and maintain accurate recovery claim files and ensure
diary is kept updated and current
- Ensure RFR submissions are submitted accurately and timely for
all assigned claimsFunctional Skills:---
- General knowledge of the fundamentals of the Insurance
Industry
- Solid PC skills in Microsoft Office
- General time management (organization, priorities) skills on
routine job responsibilities
- General procedural analysis, documentation and communication
skills
- Experience with Allstate's internal reinsurance system and
hardware for submission of RFR's is a plus
- General knowledge of PIP Reinsurance Recovery department
policies and procedures
- General skills in RFR submission on reinsurer's systemEducation
and Experience:
- High school/G.E.D. with additional specialized/technical
training or some college courses in Bookkeeping/Accounting
- 0 - 6 months of related experience in bookkeeping, banking or
professional work environmentSupervisory Responsibilities:This job

is$36,000.00-$43,000 per yearand is based on experience and
