Job Description:
Etheria Cafe is running a summer camp for ages 4-11 and
currently needs an additional counselor for the weeks of 6/12-6/16,
6/19-6/23, 6/26-6/30, 7/10-7/14, and 8/14-8/18. It's possible that
we'll need help for additional weeks, but it is dependent on
enrollment. We'll have around 29 kids total, with an adult-to-kid
ratio of about 1:6. Our camp is a child-led, play-based camp. In
other words, we're looking for playworkers who know how to
support--but not lead--children's play. We'll be outside in
Humboldt Park for 5+ hours/day in all safe weather. The cafe will
be our home base, and we'll go out for little walking-based field
trips around the Humboldt Park neighborhood. We already have a
wonderful team of adults experienced in working with kids, and
we're really excited about a summer filled with outdoor play and
exploration. Join us!
