Scientist IISummary
The Scientist II is responsible for working proficiently in all aspects and functions of NWF product development including but not limited to developing, duplicating, and cost-reducing seasonings and/or coatings to meet customer needs while being self-governing and accepting new responsibilities.Essential Functions Meet the requirements of a Scientist I
Display evidence of problem-solving.
Work effectively and efficiently while accepting additional responsibilities.
Participate in customer training presentations.
Support training of R&D personnel.
Begin effective use of internal and external resources to expedite the development process.
Able to tie innovation with practicality.
Perform other duties or special projects as needed. Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in food science, culinary science, biology, chemistry, or other field.
Minimum of four years of experience and/or training.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and general knowledge of MS office, AS400, and Lotus Notes. Work Environment General office setting.
Periodic exposure to: (1) a loud environment, (2) airborne particles with stronger odors associated with spicy food ingredients, (3) cold, hot, wet, and humid conditions, (4) walking and standing on concrete, (5) climbing steps, ladders, (6) standing on elevated surfaces.
