Job Description:
How you’ll make an impact: We’re looking for a strategic yet
hands-on Director of Content & Communications to shape and scale
our company’s content, thought leadership, PR, and corporate
communications engine. This leader will define the editorial
vision, strengthen our narrative in the market, and build a
high-leverage team that drives measurable business impact across
demand generation, brand, and customer engagement. Key
responsibilities of this role include: Content & Editorial Strategy
Build and lead the company-wide content strategy across campaigns,
lifecycle stages, and vertical markets Translate business
priorities into editorial themes, content roadmaps, and
storytelling frameworks Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and
brand narrative across channels Design and operate a scalable
editorial model, including decisions on in-house vs. outsourced
work. Communicate tradeoffs, priorities, and performance clearly to
executive stakeholders. Team Leadership Lead and develop a
high-impact team through clear roles, strong coaching, and
thoughtful use of external partners and modern writing tools and
platforms Act as a player-coach—providing strategic direction while
rolling up sleeves as needed. Foster a culture of excellence,
creativity, and accountability Thought Leadership and Executive
Comms Partner with key stakeholders to drive the company narrative,
POV, and thought leadership agenda. Partner with executives on
authored content, speeches, and social presence. Oversee the team
responsible for creation of long-form assets (reports, research,
white papers) and short-form content (blogs, social, case studies).
Align vertical and industry content with product marketing and
revenue goals. PR, Media, and Social Set and manage PR and media
strategy, partnering with our agency Measure earned media impact
Align social strategy with content and communications goals,
balancing organic and paid amplification in partnership with demand
generation Ensure a consistent, credible voice across all owned and
earned channels. Scalable Systems and Outcomes Tie content and
communications performance to business outcomes such as pipeline,
brand lift, and adoption. Establish clear intake, prioritization,
and governance processes to reduce friction across teams. Decide
what content to scale, refresh, or retire based on performance and
strategic value. Communicate results in executive-ready language
and dashboards. AI and Modern Content Practices Use AI and modern
content platforms to scale output and efficiency without
compromising quality, accuracy, or brand voice, leveraging tools
such as generative AI assistants (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper,
Writer), SEO and content intelligence platforms (e.g., Semrush,
Ahrefs), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search
Console, HubSpot). Establish clear guardrails and governance for
responsible AI use, including standards for voice consistency,
factual accuracy, IP protection, and human review. Design content
for discoverability across traditional search and emerging
environments, including SEO, AEO, and LLM-driven search and answer
engines. Build and train teams on effective, ethical, and
repeatable AI-enabled workflows that improve speed-to-market while
preserving editorial quality and strategic intent. What we’re
looking for: Minimum 10 years of experience in content, editorial
leadership, or communications, with a proven record of driving
business impact. Experience leading lean teams and scaling content
through strong systems and prioritization. Background in PR,
marketing, or communications agencies strongly preferred. Strong
working knowledge of editorial processes, SEO/AEO, analytics, and
content management systems. Demonstrated ability to link content
strategy to revenue, pipeline, or measurable brand outcomes.
Experience in high-growth SaaS/software preferred; Healthcare,
Financial Services, and/or Higher Education industry vertical
experience is a plus. Exceptional leadership, communication, and
stakeholder management skills. Estimated Salary Range: $125,000 -
$150,000 Actual salary will be determined based on factors
including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience.
This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also
provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role. In
addition, Strata provides a comprehensive benefits package
