Staff Management is currently hiring Warehouse Agents in Chicago, O Hare, for our client, a large cargo handler, which has been in operation for over 60 years. They have 30 US locations and more than a thousand employees, the company has a mission to seek and nurture long-term customer relationships. This is a direct hire opportunity, day and night shifts available, starting at $16.50 per hour. The individual must be able to function in warehouse environment performing the above duties, and. Industry: Warehouse/Distribution. Duties: You will: - Operate a forklift - Read air way bills, manifests, spreadsheets and other written information - Select and load specific cargo onto airline equipment with regard to: -safety -weight, size and shape - General dangerous goods knowledge - Time sensitive environment with hard dead lines - Handle various types of cargo materials such as nets, plastic, ropes, straps etc - Take verbal and written instructions from a floor lead or supervisor - Make basic reports about inventories, manifests and other types of cargo reports.
