Job Description:
Advanced Analytics ConsultantBASIC FUNCTION:This position is
responsible for constructing forecasts, recommendations and
strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market
knowledge.Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on
business needs and required or available data elements. May provide
consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address
business issues.Produces datasets and reports for analysis using
system reporting tools. May perform research and assists in
analyzing financial and health data, including medical algorithms
to determine health care expenditures, medical and economic
outcomes, and cost containment strategies.Analyzes complex business
problems and issues using data from internal and external sources
to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets
trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.Job
Responsibilities:Leverages existing advanced technical skills to
perform data mining and analysis, and report development on
internal and external data with a high degree of autonomy.Shares
own deep technical expertise and perspectives with the team as
appropriate.Provides technical perspectives to the various
stakeholders and assists with the development of technical
specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and
available data elements.May perform research and assists in
analyzing financial and health data, including medical algorithms
to determine health care expenditures, medical and economic
outcomes, and cost containment strategies.Appropriately interprets
and delivers data driven results to a wide variety of
stakeholdersAnalyzes complex business problems and issues using
data from internal and external sources to provide insight to
decision-makers.Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in
datasets to locate influences.Communicate and interact effectively
and professionally with co-workers, management, customers,
etc.Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity,
Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and
departmental policies.Maintain complete confidentiality of company
business.Maintain communication with management regarding
development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform
special projects as required or requested.Required Job
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' experience working
with healthcare data, SQL, data visualization, statistical
analysis, or insurance industry economics including 1-year
experience in data analysis and information reporting using SQL
relating to healthcare data including pharmacy OR 7 years'
experience in health care services, working with healthcare data in
SQL, data visualization, statistical analysis, or insurance
industry economics including 1-year experience in data analysis and
information reporting relating to healthcare data including
pharmacy.Requires in-depth knowledge and experienceUses best
practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to
improve products or servicesIndependently solves complex problems;
takes a new perspective using existing solutionsWorks
independently, receives minimal guidanceActs as a resource for
colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff
membersPreferred Job Qualifications:Ability to articulate depth and
breadth of expertise in the following: Analytical thinking,
communication for results, conceptual thinking, information
seeking, initiative, openness to learning, results orientation,
teamwork, thoroughness, and understanding environment.In addition
to required advanced knowledge of SQL and Tableau dashboard
development and integration, preferred requirements include
demonstrated knowledge of visualization best-practices, and the
ability to create complex calculated field formulae and employ data
blending strategies to optimize dashboard performance.Experience
working with either Python or R to analyze large data sets and
