Hydrian was founded in 2014 and has grown exponentially over the past 8 years without outside investment. As we look to accelerate the organic growth of the past, we are seeking individuals to match that ambition. We are hiring Senior Analysts in a client-facing role that is a mix of management consulting and data science / analytics. We primarily use the data science platform Alteryx, along with internal tools we've developed, but we expect to train you from scratch. As long as you have some numeracy and competency in Excel, you'll be fine from a technical perspective. That being said, experience with Python statistics and forecasting libraries, the R programming language, or other more hardcore data science skills are a definite plus!Our company solves a basic and universal problem for people who hold and sell inventory: how do I minimize the money tied up in my warehouse, while ensuring I have items in-stock when customers want to buy them? We've built some incredible tools to help us solve that problem, and we've married those tools to an ongoing consulting model - "inventory optimization as a service" - that is unlike anything in our industry.We work closely with our clients' operational teams, and as a result, our work never sits unused on a shelf - you'll get to see the results of your efforts over the course of long-term client relationships. Your work will matter, and every day will be different from the last.The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in an analyst or consulting role that is highly data-driven. Depending on your interest, your role at Hydrian can involve a fair amount of direct client interaction, or very little. We don't expect you to have any supply chain experience. We offer competitive base salaries, in addition to profit sharing, stock options, cash bonuses, and fully funded medical / dental / vision benefits.We also offer a flexible hybrid remote / in-office model, but we do require that people either reside in the Chicago area, or have firm plans to move there within the next 90 days.
