Position Summary: This is a key role within the Supply Chain Planning Function of PECO Pallet. The role has responsibility for playing a significant part in two critical monthly processes within PECO. Those two are the Issues Planning and Returns Planning processes. This role, in short, plays one of the leading roles in forecasting for both Issues (Revenue) and Returns (key source of product supply). Working with several different functional areas of PECO, the role requires a combination of broad Supply Chain Knowledge and skills as well as specialized Demand Planning skills. This position needs to have the capability to heavily interact on a daily basis in a constructive and collaborative way with several different functional areas within PECO. With this role, the incumbent must be able to understand how multiple areas within PECO "work" that interact with Supply Chain. In addition incumbent needs to be agile and keep up with changes on how these other functional areas work as the business environment (ex: post Covid) evolves in the months/years ahead. Preferred candidate for role is a business-oriented Supply Chain Planning Professional with past significant responsibilities in Supply Chain Planning roles. In addition, the individual should have a General Manager mindset (ex: what is best decision for PECO vs what might be the best decision for Supply Chain or other functional area) to the way they carry out their day to day position responsibilities. Essential Functions: Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and make judgments about forecast values going forward. Effectively and efficiently use the key software tools that enable these processes. Among them are PECO's RedLink system, Power BI, Oracle Cloud DM, SharePoint, and the standard Microsoft office products Effectively work with other Supply Chain Planning colleagues in navigating and carrying out (and helping their SC colleagues do their respective same) day to day as activities /responsibilities of their positions. Demonstrated proficiency at working with new software and new software configurations to support business processes. Demonstrated ability to consistently manage the complexity of developing and sustaining continuous improvement of various Supply Chain Planning transformation initiatives where there are a combination of People/Process /Tools elements. (while also balancing the need of getting their own and team member's day to day work done as well) Ability to inspire colleagues within the Supply Chain and other areas of PECO related to growing the maturity of the supply chain planning practices. Needs to be able to support the development of Strategic Changes (working with SC Strategy & Analytics area) while also maintaining primary focus on the day to day tactical duties within the effective running of PECO's Supply Chain. Is easily conversant in standard Supply Chain, S&OP, and Demand Planning terminology used within the Supply Chain industry. In addition, can quickly become effectively conversant using PECO Pallet terminology as well as terminology used in the Oracle Planning ecosystem. Working knowledge of key S&OP / IBP Leading Practices and passion for a continuous improvement mindset and in being a leader in driving increased process maturity at PECO in these two area. Key Competencies for Success: Analytical ability User of commercial software in the Demand Planning space (preferably Oracle DM) Conflict resolution Fosters the "smart usage" of Supply Chain best practices Has a high level of competency in speaking the Supply Chain, Demand Planning and S&OP / IBP industry languages easily. Facilitation skills and skills driving compromises across different functional areas Awareness and demonstrated ability to utilize continuous improvement/ Lean principals and concepts in the day to day carrying out of their responsibilities. Proficient at learning / picking up on new software features quickly Proficient at staying calm and data driven in stressful situations. Communication skills that enable effective communication at multiple levels within the organization. Deep knowledge and appreciation for Supply Chain best practices. Stays current with some industry publications from APICS and/or IBF Actively working toward or already maintaining appropriate Supply Chain certifications from APICS and/or IBF Ability to work independently with minimal day to day direction Skilled at effectively prioritizing and understanding PECO and Supply Chain Team priorities. Ability to coordinate the work of others (ex: serving as coordinator of monthly cross functional processes, efforts of our shared service team) Appreciation for staying current in the field of Supply Chain Planning, the CPG industry, and the pallet industry. Strong business acumen Can drive (and be perceived as a leader in such) increased process discipline within the organization. Qualifications: BA/BS w/major in Supply Chain, Data Analytics or Operations CSCP or a appropriate IBF certifications desired 3 years of Supply Chain Planning Experience Environment/Physical Demands: Typical office environment Need to participate in conference calls off standard business hours and occasionally weekends (role interacts with individual form multiple time zones) Ability to effectively operate typical office equipment (copiers/projectors/etc) Travel: Up to 15% Travel can very within given parts of the year based on project activities and business needs. Travel via plane and car required.
