Description:Position SummaryReporting to the VP of Operations,
you will have broad responsibility and leadership for the overall
performance and profitability of Brook & Whittle's Northbrook
site's operations. You will lead the implementation of strategies
and initiatives to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality
improvements, provide premier customer service, maximize profitable
growth, develop a technically qualified work force, foster an
environment that supports the company culture of collaboration and
teamwork, reduce operating costs, inventories, and lead times
through continuous improvements. You will oversee day-to-day
activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly customer
and business expectations.Primary Duties and
ResponsibilitiesDirects and coordinates the safety, quality, and
production activities of the Northbrook facilityLeads by example
supporting the company culture of safety, teamwork, collaboration
and high ethics, with a continuous improvement and customer
focusActively participates in the site's safety and quality
management programsEnsures that programs and procedures are adopted
to guard against industrial accidents and protect the safety and
well-being of employeesMaintain quality through all processes;
reacts to quality issues and responds with sustainable corrective
actionsWorks closely with Corporate Quality team to address CIPs,
implement process controls and conduct root cause analysis to
identify ways to improve and maintain acceptable product
qualityDevelop and implement action plans with team members as
needed for problem resolutionEngages the team in identifying and
implementing continuous improvement projectsIdentifies and
implements improvements for material cost reduction, quality
assurance and productivityWorks cross-functionally to drive
continuous improvement and foster a culture of LeanReviews Key
Performance Indicators (Daily, Weekly and Monthly) to ensure site
is on track to meet overall departmental objectivesEnsure employees
are trained in all aspects of their jobs to include safety,
quality, and productivityWorks closely with account management and
sales to support new product introduction and product
redesignsPartner with Quality to establish necessary standard
operating procedures and work instructions to direct the most
efficient, cost effective and highest quality processWork
professionally in a team environment with site and corporate
colleaguesSupport the overall company goals and directionsPerform

goals. The Plant Manager will serve as a role model by
collaborating across all functions of the organization, promoting
new ideas and positive change.Previous Involvement with or leading
a team in LEAN process improvements or implementation is
preferred.Education and Experience7-10 years of hands-on experience
in a manufacturing environment including lean/flow manufacturing
with relevant exposure to flexographic printing
operation.Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years equivalent experience
(significantly and directly related)Have working knowledge of lean
and/or six sigma concepts with demonstrated success.Work
Authorization/Security ClearanceMust be eligible to work in the
