learn & achieve:This role is hybrid based out of our Northbrook, IL
corporate office or remote in the UK As a part of the Strategy,
Partnerships and Acquisitions team, the Senior Strategy Analyst
will support developing long term business strategy for the
Enterprise and Advisory (E&A) groups within UL Solutions while
reporting to the Director Strategic Development. You will work
closely with leadership to research macro, market trends and
competition, understand sources of long term competitive advantage
and develop business strategies for business units to create long
term value. This is a critical role within the company and provides
an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within fast
growth digital software, data and advisory businesses. You will
play a primary role in defining the future strategic direction for
E&A's businesses focused on ESG and sustainability solutions
for multiple customer industries.
- Collect and analyze market information to develop deep industry
and competitive understanding for our industry segments and provide
critical insights & recommendations.
- Support definition of business unit level strategy, business
development priorities, including collaborating with senior
business leaders across Regional and Functional areas.
- Plan and coordinate all activities globally as it relates to
strategy development, execution and long-range business
planning.
- Coordinate input from cross-functional and cross regional
business units and project manage strategic initiatives
- Support periodic reporting of business unit performance
reviews, initiatives and market updates to senior executives.
- Support development of strategic roadmap for both organic and
inorganic growth.
- Where necessary, support specific M&A and partnership
activities including sourcing and commercial due diligence.
- Act as point of contact to maintain business unit and industry
content including external contacts, industry research reports and

- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in
market intelligence/strategy role.
- Experience with financial modeling.
- Strong PowerPoint presentation, written and verbal
communication skills
- Experience working with SaaS and/or business models a plus
- Confident, analytical thinker with focus on presenting ideas in
a structured way
- Willingness to "go deep" to understand industry drivers through
a range of sources
- Able to take work and run own time with limited oversight to
successful completion
- Team player with drive, curiosity and "can do" attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience
building relationships with employees at all levels of an
organization.
- Ability to effectively coordinate multiple jobs and projects
