EMERGENCY ROOM TECHNICIAN II - HIRING FAIR Posting Salary: $27.11 - HOURLY Cook County Health will seek to fill the positions by means of the Hiring Fair Process. Note: Onsite interviews will be held at John H. Stroger: 1950 West Polk Street - 5th Floor, Chicago, IL 60612. The only opportunity to interview for this position will be on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. You must attend onsite at the Hiring Fair (and sit for an interview if qualified) to be considered for the position. As a reminder, please apply & bring your resume, driver's license, and any applicable certifications JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse, assists and augments the registered nurse in providing high quality emergency medicine patient care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS --- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. --- A minimum of five (5) years of work experience within the last eight years providing direct patient care in an Emergency Department or pre-hospital environment (i.e., ambulance services) is required. --- Certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required. --- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required. --- Ability to read and interpret EKG strips is required.
