The Manager of the Manufacturing Finance is a member of the Finance organization who provides business and financial counsel to the Supply Chain and Market Unit Teams. This position manages Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for the business by preparing annual budgets, forecasting, and performing variance analysis by interpreting and developing standard reporting. The Manager of Manufacturing Finance is the primary liaison between the Manufacturing Plant and Market Unit Teams and sets and communicates Standard COGS. This position is the key contact for the implementation of Supply Chain Finance strategic initiatives at the Market Unit level.

-Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: - -

  • Partner with manufacturing plant leadership to develop, track, and execute on annual productivity targets
  • Support Supply Chain Annual Plan, forecasting, and Actual variance analysis
  • Report results to Market Unit (MU) leadership teams, communicate COGS risks and opportunities versus MU Annual Plan
  • Advise on strategic initiatives within manufacturing plant or MU related to sourcing changes, capital spend, and innovation
  • Work with cross functional partners including supply/demand planning, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and Transport teams to understand fully burdened COGS within the Market Unit
  • Support Market Unit and Manufacturing teams on analysis of co-pack business, pallets/shells, and purchased finished goods
  • Develop understanding of transport, commodities, and manufacturing process in order to assess impact on COGS and set standards for designated Market Unit
  • Develop, implement and educate business partners on non-Financial KPI's
  • Partner with manufacturing plant leadership and/or supply chain management to develop projects/plans to improve KPIs
  • Partner with manufacturing plant leadership and/or supply chain management to improve profitability/productivity of plants
  • Perform frequent walkthroughs of manufacturing plants to address production and cost related issues
  • Delegate and prioritize workload to business partners and other members of finance team
  • Conduct presentations of analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and business unit leaders
  • Other projects or duties as assigned. Required Skills and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree with 8 plus years of Accounting/Finance experience and 4 years of people leadership experience
    • Distribution or manufacturing corporate environment experience supporting Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Financial, Planning and Analysis (FP&A) or having controllership responsibilities
    • Strong communications skills including verbal, written and ability to give presentations to all levels of the organization
    • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
    • Excellent problem solving skills -
    • Exceptional project management and time management skills -
    • Ability to delegate and prioritize workload
    • Ability to comprehend systems, their functionality inclusive of Business Intelligence tools
    • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office i.e., Excel, Outlook, One Note, etc.
    • Outstanding customer relationship skills and a customer service mindset
    • Travel up to 20% to provide on-site support to facilities

      Preferred Experience:
      • Master's degree
      • CPA
      • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food or Beverage environment
      • Anaplan experience
      • SAP experience
