Position Summary

FBN Direct is a rapidly growing input transaction platform serving farmers, providing crop protection products, seed treatments, fertilizers, and a variety of other crop inputs directly to farmers. FBN Direct offers an industry-changing, independent, and unbiased way for farmers to purchase their crop inputs - emphasizing superior value, and through a seamless transaction process that delivers products directly to the farm.

The Director of Supply Chain, US leads the in country activities that safely and efficiently translate raw materials and inputs into finished products:

Responsibilities

  • Planning - working with S&OP teams, translate US demand plan into an actionable supply plan. Develop and execute the strategies related to make versus buy. Partner with Logistics and Customer Experience teams to communicate supply readiness details.
  • HSE and Quality - partner with global HSE and quality groups to ensure FBN standards, policies and procedures are adhered to within US operations, processes and vendor partnerships. Continually seek and implement improvement ideas. Serve as a visible champion for HSE and Quality within the region and drive a transformative safety culture. Lead investigations and process improvement activities.
    • Procurement and Imports - provide direction to US Procurement Manager to execute purchases of locally sourced materials; partner with global technical ingredient and global co formulant procurement category managers to ensure plan requirements are being met. Provide leadership to import logistics Manager to track shipment data and ensure efficient and timely arrival.
      • Manufacturing - provide leadership direction to the US Manufacturing Manager, develop external manufacturing partnerships, ensuring safety, quality, regulatory and contract compliance to FBN's standards.
        • Customer Focus and Strategy - partner with US country leadership and sales teams to execute strategy, grow the business and lead with a Farmer's First ideology at all times. Minimum Qualifications
          • Bachelor's degree in STEM field or related discipline plus 10 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, agrochemical procurement, pharmaceuticals or related specialty in the chemical industry .
          • Demonstrated experience in S&OP / IBP processes Preferred Qualifications
            • 12 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, agrochemical procurement, pharmaceuticals or related specialty in the chemical industry .
            • Demonstrated experience in S&OP/IBP process ownership
            • Knowledge of pesticide market, key suppliers and partners
            • Auditing capability for safety, environmental, regulatory and quality processes Characteristics
              • The successful applicant will be:
                • Skilled at operating in a matrix organization with reporting lines into functional procurement/supply chain teams as well as regional sales, marketing and business operations teams
                • A problem solver, one who listens well to others, seeks input and leverages data to make decisions
                • Aware of their internal customer as well as their final customer (local farmers) and shapes actions around supporting both

                  The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the Chicago, Illinois average base salary range of possible compensation for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $175,000 - $210,000 + stock + benefits. This salary range may vary based on geography and variations in cost of labor in some metropolitan areas. Beyond the above or adjusted to market salary range, FBN also offers all full-time employees competitive total compensation packages that include equity compensation, health and wellness benefits, and other various perks.
