Job Description:

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Consultant with our client in the financial industry located in Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Addison, TX and Charlotte, NC. This is a 5 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Responsible for working with various enterprise level and local data management, governance, and data quality teams as well as technology teams
  
• Will contribute to efforts to capture and manage the data dictionaries/cataloge, data lineage, and all forms of business, technical and operational metadata within the Metadata Repository
  
• Support data quality issue tracking and resolution activities
  
• Assist in providing data governance guidance and support for business process and control owners
  
• Acting as the delegate for ensuring application owners are in adherence with records management policy
  
• Identify, research, and determine root cause for data quality errors to include scope and complexity of the issue, and make recommendations for long-term solutions
  
• Work closely with data owners in the identification and documentation of business and technical metadata
  
• Ensure quality and integrity of metadata
  
  
  Requirements:

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, as well as hands-on experience with metadata management platforms
    
  • Must be pro-active and be able to drive direction of work that needs to be completed, based on assigned tasks
    
  • Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight
    
  • Motivated and willing to learn
    
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
    
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and dive into details
    
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    
  • Strong interpersonal skills are needed to gain cooperation from various stakeholders
    
  • Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking
    
  • Ability to work with Technical and Non-Technical business owners
    
    
    Pay Range: $33.25 - $41.25
