The Estimator will perform a variety of professional estimating duties related to developing estimates and procuring work for heavy civil construction projects. Assists in the preparation of cost estimates, prepare construction budgets from cost estimates, and handle contract administrative paperwork.Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing for bidding purposes
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor prices
• Review contract documents and understand project parameter
• Have a thorough understanding construction means and methods
• Contribute to the preparation and review of estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness Finish
• Collect and analyze site information for pre-bid functions by conducting site visits
• Use specialized programs to assist in bidding, including HeavyBid for Estimating and SmartBid for the initial invitation of solicitors and subcontractors
• Work in a team to research means and methods, materials, equipment, costs, and construction services and techniquesRequirementsQualifications
  • Substantial construction experience and/or engineering background
  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of HCSS or ability to learn same
  • Have a through understanding of construction means and methodsSkills
    • Working knowledge of personal computing and spreadsheet software
    • Profocient with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsSalary range: 200-250KPowered by JazzHR
