Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:Position Summary: Monitors and supervises
adult male/female participants within the Milwaukee County Day
Reporting Center. Maintains accountability of participants at all
times and ensures adherence to all safety, security, and sanitation
requirements. Essential Functions:--- Monitor and ensure regular
and predictable attendance of participants, and report all concerns
immediately to the Program Director or the Lead Case Manager in the
PD's absence.--- Supervise participants in all areas of the MCTSC.
--- Conduct a brief interview with new participants to gather
demographic and contact information for the database.--- Take
photographs of each participant and make ID badges for first-time
admissions to the MCTSC, as well as upload the photograph file into
the database.--- Complete Security Intake forms with each new
participant.--- Inform all new participants of the MCTSC rules and
regulations, and consistently enforce these policies. --- Adhere to
the evidence-based principles of Motivational Interviewing,
Motivational Incentives, and other practices with participants that
will help to support pro-social progress.--- Check as required all
locking devices, alarms, and security equipment.--- Conduct daily
entrance checks and searches on all participants entering the
MCTSC, as well as maintain control of contraband and other items
not permitted into the MCTSC, (hats, cigarettes, sunglasses,
etc.).--- Drug test participants as needed.--- Make the required
rounds through the MCTSC the participants' lockers, and the
bathrooms, as well as document these perimeter checks in the
database(s). Prepare all required reports and documentation such as
disciplinary and accidents, incidents reports, medical reports,
escapes, participants' sign in/out sheet. Follow policy to make
required notification of incidents and distribution of reports. ---
Maintain both the security of the facility and the sanitation of
the facility to secure the safety of all participants, staff and
the public.--- Attend training sessions as directed.--- Attend
scheduled staff meetings.--- Other job-related duties as may be
necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position. Job
Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: --- Written and
verbal communication skills are mandatory. --- Ability to
communicate effectively and in a positive manner with the Vice
President, the Program Director, co-workers, subcontractors and
participants, as well as external entities collaborating with the
MCTSC. --- De-escalation skills a must for this position. ---
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and respond in a
crisis situation. --- Ability to multi-task and work under
deadlines. --- Knowledge of community resources to include housing,
education, public transportation knowledge of CCAP--- Sensitivity
toward cultural, ethnic, and disability issues--- Good
organizational, computer and typing skills--- Training and/or
experience in motivational, trauma informed care and motivational
incentives.Minimal Qualifications:--- Minimum of a high school
diploma or equivalent is required. --- Prior experience in a law
enforcement field is strongly desired. --- Familiarity with
evidence-based practices with offenders such as Motivational
Interviewing, Motivational Incentives, and criminogenic risk and
need assessments a plus. --- Must possess a valid Wisconsin
Driver's License and insured auto.--- Must pass criminal background
check and drug test prior to official hire. Other Job Information
(if applicable):Work Relationship and Scope: Works primarily with
participants. Also interacts with all staff at the MCTSC, including
WCS staff and leadership, as well as the partner providers on-site.
Reports directly to the Program Director on-site at the MCTSC, and
to the Lead Case Manger in the Program Director's absence. Has
contact with a wide variety of individuals such as Probation and
Parole agents, treatment providers, other criminal justice agencies
and community providers, and other WCS staff.Personal Attributes:

Conditions: Most of the work will take place at the Men's Community
Transition Service Center on N. 10th Street, in Milwaukee. Schedule
varies with business needs, but staff are generally scheduled
between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday.Physical Demands: Must be able to be mobile throughout the
facility, sit for extended periods of time, walk and stay alert
while on shift. Must be able to evacuate occupants from building in
less than three minutes in the event of an emergency. Requires
ability to provide First Aid and CPR. Some lifting
