Role Summary:

  • The Learning and Development Consultant works in a fast-paced environment that's driven by business results, customer value, and teamwork. Collaborates and consults with business leaders, HR team and subject matter experts to design and deliver high quality learning experiences and talent development processes/programs. Focus is on improving knowledge, skills, and performance while promoting career development and engagement. Role Responsibilities:
    • Training design and delivery responsibilities:
      • Analyzes training needs using data and stakeholder input.
      • Works with leaders and SMEs to develop training plans and learning programs focused on role-specific knowledge and skills as well as professional career growth. Maintains ongoing communication with customers to understand evolving needs and share relevant information.
      • Develops curriculum, certifications, courses and assessments to address training needs.
      • Seeks to leverage brand/product learning from the VW/Audi Academies and implement a variety of learning methods that enable real-time/on-demand learning.
      • Works with eLearning Consultant on development of web-based learning solutions.
      • Collaborates with business leaders to create a learning culture that supports continuous, real time learning on the job.
      • Plans, maintains and markets training schedules. Administers course schedules, rosters and reports in the Learning Management System.
      • Delivers instructor-led training (business acumen, brand/product, role-specific skills, and soft skills). Measures learning effectiveness, implementing enhancements for future courses.
      • Facilitates workshops to improve personal and/or team effectiveness.
      • Other talent development responsibilities focused on talent agility and engagement:
        • Manages and/or assumes responsibilities associated with VWGoA talent development and engagement processes, programs, and practices - either in full or in part. Examples include College Graduate Program, new hire orientation, performance management process, talent review and succession planning, leadership development programs, workplace surveys, etc.

          Years of Experience:
            • Minimum 2-4 years of experience designing, delivering and managing high quality learning experiences and talent processes/programs that improve knowledge, skills, and performance while promoting career development and engagement. Education - Required
                • Bachelor's degree in business, OD, leadership and/or learning and development. Education - Desired
                    • Master's degree in related field of study. Skills:
                        • Competencies: trust, respect, collaboration, customer focus, passion, innovation, performance-driven.
                        • Strong initiative with high sense of urgency and customer-orientation.
                        • Skilled in planning, organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and optimizing resources.
                        • Strong communication skills (listening, conversation, writing, presentation, facilitation).
                        • Process orientation with design, development and process/project/program management proficiency.
                        • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills to effectively interact with key stakeholders and deliver practical solutions aligned to the strategy and needs of the business.
                        • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint), TalentConnect, VWGoA LMC, and social media platforms.
                        • Continuous improvement attitude.
                        • Ability to overcome challenges and maintain collaboration under challenging conditions - adapting and adjusting quickly to changing priorities, responsibilities and deadlines.
                        • Learning agility to acquire/apply new practices and information in a constantly changing environment. Specialized Skills - Required --- Knowledge of adult learning theory and practices. --- Demonstrated proficiency in needs analysis, training design, development and facilitation. --- Consulting, influencing and negotiation skills. --- Proficiency with VWGoA processes and systems related to talent development and engagement. Specialized Skills - Desired --- ASTD certification (or equivalent experience) in instructional design and facilitation Work Flexibility: --- Flexibility to travel up to 25& of the time.
