Job Description:

This position is responsible for representing the Company's concerns with respect to promotion, sales and support of the Company's products to a variety of customers within a defined geographical area.Responsibilities: Develops and implements a territory business plan. Such plan includes, but is not limited to, the most efficient coverage pattern for the territory; call frequencies on major and other accounts, and product line forecasts.Develops and implements a sales plan by account and by product for the territory that maximizes sales time and minimizes expenses.Assures adequate feedback of information needed for all sales and marketing decisions.Provides field support for product development, engineering, marketing and other headquarters functions as required. Special emphasis is directed to the development and attainment of new customers and product ideas to support continued growth of the company.Provide appropriate feedback on success of sales strategies and tactics and recommend changes or modificationsProvides prompt, complete and accurate information concerning competitive activity via customer call reports, reports on calls, orders, follow-up plans, customer needs, concerns and activities, etc.Acts on non-routine expediting issues as required. Maintains and initiates feedback with industry managers and sales administration.Recognizes and recommends new products, product improvements and potential new business.Fosters and preserves customer goodwill through professional presentation of himself, developing sound, working relationships with the customers' buyers, engineers and other material and procurement people, providing the customer with prompt handling of quotations, expediting of orders as necessary, follow-up, coordinating engineering support for field products, dissemination of information relative to Kaydon's product development, catalogs, advertisements and the proper handling of administrative functions.Requirements: B.S. Degree in engineering, sales or marketing or the equivalent in directly related sales experience. Must have demonstrated organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and current knowledge of technical/industrial selling and marketing techniques. Initiative, the ability to act independently, to appraise and analyze complex situations, dependability and factual accuracy are all necessary. Ability to act independently to appraise and analyze complex situations and factual accuracy is essential. High degree of negotiating and presentation skills. Must have high degree of computer skills/literacy.Experience:Sales: 2 years (Required)
