Job DescriptionOverviewSince its inception, of Food
Technologists (IFT) has been a forum for passionate science of food
professionals and technologists to collaborate, learn, and

Group Sales and Strategic Partnerships Account Manager is
responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies that
result in meeting IFT revenue projections. The Group Sales and
Strategic Account Manager is responsible for identifying the needs
and understanding the business objectives of IFT clients and
creating customized, strategic partnership programs from the wide
range of IFT products and services.Essential
ResponsibilitiesSales
- Understand the IFT, IFTSA and Feeding Tomorrow business units,
products and opportunities to sell to clients
- Sell the various products and services offered by IFT to meet
revenue goals, with a focus on corporate and academic group
memberships, startup related sales efforts, licensing, partnership
and sponsorship efforts targeting new markets.
- Develop packages for clients that include IFT products and
services to meet the client's business objectives
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and proposals
- Develop and manage business relationships with key individuals,
top decision makers and executive level at clients' companies and
agenciesClient Relationships & Support
- Manage, support, and service assigned clients and accounts
within assigned territory; oversee the customer experience with the
IFT brand
- Maintain consistent related client communication throughout the
sales cycle
- Build and maintain effective sales plans, pipelines, forecasts
and accurate records of all client interactions in CRM
- Address client concerns and ensure the resolution of issues in
a timely manner, with appropriate follow-upIndustry Awareness
- Analyze, monitor and evaluate market conditions and provide
input for the development of strategic plans and promotional
programs to support sales efforts toward increased revenue
- Stay up to date on trends in industries of IFT clientsManage
customer appointments, travel, expenses and CRM documentation
- Travel to trade shows, industry events and client meetings
- Responsibly handle and submit travel and entertainment planning
and expenses in a timely manner
- Assist accounts receivable with collection of outstanding
invoices as neededThis is not meant to be a complete or

time.Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, related field or
equivalent experience preferred
- 5 - 8 years demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding
multi-channel revenue targets and activity quotas
- Experience and knowledge of the food ingredients business a
plus
- Experience in developing sales plans and packages that include
a portfolio of print, online, sponsorship experiences, association
programs, etc.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft
Office programs
- Experience with CRM tools and excel
- LinkedIn sales navigator experience, a plus
- Hubspot and ZoomInfo experience, a plusCompetency Requirements

- Ability to gather and analyze client information and industry
specific data to create client specific recommendations for
improvement, offers solutions to challenges/issues Work Conditions
- Travel 20-30%, domestically, including the ability to
occasionally attend evening, weekend and overnight meetings
- Physical demands
- Sitting for extended periods of time and occasionally walking
or standing for brief periods of time.
- Ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a
negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull,
or otherwise move objects.
- Use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse,
and handling of other office equipment
