Job Summary The Architectural and Design Rep resentative ( ADR ) is responsible for identifying , developing, and cultivating productive relationships with both new and existing clients for Behr/Kilz products , and services to professional channel with a focus on a defined segment. Th is position cross functionally partners with the broader team to develop and implement specific strategies to achieve client satisfaction , revenue, and profitability . Working safely is part of our culture and is a condition of employment. Primary responsibility is to promote and expand knowledge of Behr Products and Services in the Architectural, Specifications and Design Community. Be the go-to person for product information and resource to increase Behr's specification presence. Actively participate in industry specific professional organizations that support the A+D community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • With direction from corporate and the ADR Director , supports the deployment, adoption, and application of Behr's annual Strategic Deployment Plan (SDP)
  • Develop strategic market plan s for key firms , target clients , and high potential influencers establishing goals and targets.
  • Achieve defined sales goals, metrics, and objectives .
  • Use a strategic and consultative sales approach to understand, develop, and deliver measurable actions to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
    • Complete productive daily actions that generate sales and qualified leads. Log quality information from the completed activities into (CRM) Salesforce.
    • Build brand awareness through marketing and training and other efforts.
    • Proficient knowledge of our products, applications , and services to ensure product recommendations that meet all specifications.
    • Understanding of product assortment and applications needed to support c lient requirements . Qualifications / Experience
      • Bachelor's degree or related field experience .
      • Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or comparable certification ( e.g. GED)
        • Previous C ommercial Design or Architectural experienc e is desirable. Other Requirements
          • O vernight travel will be required depending on geographic territory.
          • Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.
            • Ability to follow oral or written instructions; read and acknowledge completion or work orders, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
            • Maintain the corporate credit card, motor vehicle and expense reporting according to company policy.
            • O ther duties as assigned . Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
              • Strategic interacti on with all c lient types to develop relationships and loyalty
              • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, networking and relationship building skills.
              • Must possess highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to influence others relative to company and customers objectives as well as to clarify and maintain focus on team goals and objectives .
              • Experience in Commercial C onstruction /Design and/or A rchitectural C oatings are preferre d.
                • Ability to work well independently with minimal direction , as well as within a strong team environment. Computer Skills
                  • Proficient knowledge of MSA Office Suites and/or IOS software applications related to job functions .
                    • Sales Force/CRM knowledge
                    • Working knowledge of DODGE, BSD, Anguleris , ARCAT and/or SketchUp
                    • Proficient in using a computer application to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and crafting reports to communicate the actions needed to improve performance relative to the goals of the system and strategy Language Skills
                      • English (speak, read, and write)
                      • Ability to speak the prevalent second language in certain geographic regions may be preferred.
