Clean Harbors is seeking a qualified and dedicated Class A CDL Equipment Operator for our Emergency Response team. This vital role focuses on operating specialized equipment to manage and mitigate environmental emergencies involving hazardous materials. As part of North America's leading environmental and industrial services firm, the role demands proactive, effective handling of hazardous waste during critical situations to ensure protection of the public and environment, aligned with our mission of sustainability and safety. Operate heavy equipment such as vacuum trucks, excavators, and other response machinery during environmental emergencies. Quickly respond to emergency calls, particularly those involving hazardous material spills, ensuring rapid containment and mitigation. Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure operational readiness at all times. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to protect personnel and the environment during emergency operations. Communicate effectively with emergency management personnel and participate in post-response debriefings. Manage on-site hazardous materials in accordance with state and federal regulations.
